Driver with Alleged BAC of .271 Charged with DWI

The man was corralled by other concerned motorists who allegedly witnessed erratic driving.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, police received a phone call from concerned citizens reporting a vehicle driving erratically, authorities said Monday.

According to police, the callers were following a driver on Long Ridge Road who was allegedly swerving all over the road and reportedly almost struck oncoming traffic several times.

Police said the callers "corralled the car" somehow and escorted the driver to the side of the road, where they waited for officers to arrive. The driver was identified by authorities as Giacinto Rizzi, 32, of Fairfield Woods Road in Fairfield.

Rizzi was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Rizzi allegedly had an Blood Alcohol Content of .278, more than three times the legal limit is .08.

Carmen Acevedo, 48, of West Walk in West Haven, was charged early Monday morning with interfering with an officer/resisting and tampering with a witness.

Manuel Barcenas-Peral, 30, of Orlando Ave., was charged Sunday morning with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct (fighting with a dangerous instrument/serious injury) and second-degree threatening.

[Name Removed], 21, of unreleased addressed in Norwalk, was charged Sunday morning with fifth-degree larceny.

Linda T. Bruno, 45, of Virgil St., was charged Sunday night with second-degree failure to appear.

Mariusz Czajkowski, 34, of Victory St., was charged early Monday with second-degree threatening.

Ivan R. Forero, 28,of Marble Pl. in Ossining, NY, was charged early Sunday with second-degree breach of peace.

Rosemene Francique, 48, homeless, was charged Monday morning with two-counts failure to appear.

Jose Francisco Garcia-Oliva, 40, of Coolidge Ave., was charged early Sunday with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct (fight with a dangerous instrument / serious injury).

Joel Jackson, 18, of Culloden Road, was charged early Sunday with three counts failure to appear.

Brandon Jerrod Jones, 26, of Pine Hill Ave., was charged early Sunday with interference with an officer/resisting, possession of a controlled substance and sale of a controlled substance.

Jeremiah Jones, 18, of Birch Dr., was charged early Monday with interference withanofficer/resisting.

Michael Roman Martinez, 21, of Saxon Ct., was charged Sunday morning with possession of narcotics and sale of certain illegal drugs.

Pedro Mauchi, 31, of West Ave., was charged early Sunday with evading responsibility while causing property damage or injury and reckless driving.

Raul Nunez, 28, of Washington Ct., was charged Sunday night with failure to obey traffic control signals, illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under suspension, sale of certain illegal drugs and possession of narcotics.

Matthew B. Salvatore, 35, of Wedgemere Rd., was charged Sunday afternoon with two counts disorderly conduct.

George Sandoval, 42, of Greenwich Ave., was charged Sunday morning with with violation of probation.
