Original story: 7:06 p.m., July 1, 2013;
A man who survived a shooting about a year-and-a-half ago, was stabbed numerous times during a confrontation in a downtown Stamford tavern over the weekend.

According to Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin, the 22-year-old victim was attacked by three men in the second-floor area of Bradford's Grill & Tavern at 83 Bedford St. just before 1 a.m. Saturday, June 29. A bouncer for the bar intervened and the three men fled.

The victim was punched several times by two of the men and "was stabbed multiple times with a small knifelike instrument in the back and right shoulder," Conklin said. The victim was taken to Stamford Hospital where he was treated and released for numerous, non life-threatening puncture wounds, according to Conklin.

Conklin said the man was the victim of a shooting about 18 months ago and that that he indicated he knew at least one of the attackers in Bradford's. It was unclear whether the two incidents are related.

Conklin said investigators have recovered video surveillance tapes and are working to determine whether the attackers can be identified.
