City Man Arrested After Fight at West Side Club

A 27 year-old city man was arrested early Tuesday morning following an altercation with another male at a club that got him removed from the property, according to police.

A patrol officer observed Elmar Suy of 13 George Street yelling at security guards while standing outside of the Rumba Cafe on West Main Street and asked him what the problem was, police said. According to police, Suy appeared intoxicated and had a cut on his finger that was bleeding. The guards told police that Suy had a fight inside of the club with another patron and was removed from the building, police said.

When officers tried to speak with Suy, he attempted to re-enter the club, but was pushed outside by security guards, police said. When officers advised him to go home, Suy continued to yell and refused to leave the property.

Suy was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespassing.
