The girl was bleeding from the mouth, appeared to have a broken wrist and was complaining of abdominal pain, authorities said. Police said she was taken to Stamford Hospital, where she was admitted with injuries that did not apear to be life threatening, but was awaiting further tests.

Police determined after further conversation with the children that the three had been playing and the oldest was sitting on a window ledge. They said the two younger children left the room for a brief period and, upon return, discovered the girl had fallen from the window.
