Bridgeport's Michelle Walker, 40, has been charged with second degree assault for throwing hot coffee on the female friend of her son's father.

Stamford police arrested Michelle Walker at 10:50 a.m. Monday for throwing hot coffee on a woman she accused of making prank calls to her cell phone, according to the Stamford Police Department.

"Around 9 a.m., police were dispatched to an address on Euclid Ave. to respond to a report of a woman having hot coffee thrown on her," SPD Sgt. George Moran said.

"The victim stated that when she went to a friend's house on Euclid Ave., her the mother of her male friend's son accused her of prank phoning her from a blocked number. The argument escalated until Walker threw hot coffee on her," Moran said.

According to SPD, it's "possible" that tensions initially rose between the two women because of their proximity to the same male.
