Bridgeport Man Beaten, Shot in South End

The 37-year-old victim is in critical condition at Stamford Hospital.

A 37-year-old Bridgeport man was found brutally beaten with a baseball bat and shot three times by police in Stamford early Saturday morning, according to the Stamford Advocate

The man was found on Lipton Place in the South End just after 4:45 a.m. He is in critical condition at , according to article. The man, who's name is not being released, was shot in the upper thighs and buttocks.

After the man was unwilling to give his name to police, officers discovered that he was convicted of manslaughter in a Bridgeport courthouse in 1991 and is wanted by Bridgeport and Norwalk police on assault and threatening charges.
