City Man Assaulted at Party on Morgan Street

are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred at a party on Morgan Street Saturday night.

The victim, police said, arrived at Stamford Hospital with a deep laceration to the left side of his face. He told officers that he was at the party when a Hispanic man with black hair wearing a red and white striped shirt hit him in the face with a glass bottle. He told police that he didn't know the exact location of the party nor could he identify any of the guests. He was also unable to identify the three individuals that drove him to the hospital.

The victim, according to police, also said that various guests at the party encouraged him not to report the incident.

Police arrested a 56-year-old man on Saturday morning after his girlfriend accused him of stealing her car.

According to police, the victim reported that her car had been stolen by John Mott of 108 Woodside Green, Stamford, the night before although he brought it back undamaged the following morning. When officers checked Mott's license, they discovered that it was suspended.

Mott was charged with second-degree larceny and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension.

A 43-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning after he was caught breaking into a laundromat on Prospect Street, according to police.

The department received a call from the manager of Home Garden Laundromat after he witnessed a burglary in process. When officers arrived, they found Michael Lotz, 43, of 29 Harbor Ave., Stamford, inside the building. Lotz attempted to elude the officers, police said, but was later apprehended and charged with third-degree burglary.

The manager told police that there have been previous break-ins where people where found using the bathroom and doing drugs. He added that he wasn't sure if the lock to the front door of the building had been broken.

Falasha Cambell, 28, of 2275 Randall Ave., Bronx, NY, was arrested on April 21 at 5:49 p.m. and charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Karl Cineus, 28, of 45 Elmcroft Road, Stamford, was arrested on April 21 at 10:29 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

Charles Dunois, 37, of 37 Lincoln Ave., Stamford, was arrested on April 21 at 8:38 a.m. and charged with second-degree criminal mischief.

Breara Livingston, 22, of 17 Fairgate Drive, Stamford, was arrested on April 22 at 7:31 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Chris Nyantheh, 22, of 2275 Randall Ave., Bronx, was arrested on April 21 at 5:58 p.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and failure to appear in court in the first degree.

Michael Pantoja, 42, of 1297 South Ave., Stratford, was arrested on April 22 at 3:30 a.m. and charged with evading responsibility operating a unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure a private motor vehicle.

Clifton Smith, 42, of 153 Bishop St., Waterbury, was arrested on April 20 at 5:55 p.m. and charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.

Michael Sweeney, 38, of 24 Dolsen Place, Stamford, was arrested on April 20 at 11:36 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Edicson Trujillo, 23, of 88 Colonial Road, Stamford, was arrested on April 20 at 5:35 p.m. and charged with failure to appear in court in the second degree, failure to appear in court in the first degree and failure to respond to an infraction.

Jeovany Vasques, 30, of 496 West Main St., Stamford, was arrested on April 22 at 7:45 p.m. and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, evading responsibility for a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
