A man was injured in front of his West Side home early Friday morning after three men tried to rob him, according to Stamford police.

The victim told police, according to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky, that he pulled up to his residence at 18 Piave St. when three black males approached him. The men tried to take his keys and cell phone, but the victim resisted, police said. The victim then told police that one of the men bit him hard on the nose. He called the police department while being treated at Stamford Hospital.

Police officers investigated the scene of the incident and surrounding areas, but the suspects weren't located, Sgt. Shawinsky said. No items were stolen from the victim.
