Alleged Stamford Murderer Charged with Impregnating Girl, 15

Police levied new charges against the man facing a murder trial after a police investigation revealed a 15-year-old girl allegedly pregnant with the suspect's child.

Stamford Police released new information regarding additional charges brought against Ivan Silva, for the at Stamford Laundromat Uncle Bucks.

The 20-year-old Silva was pulled out of court today and charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl.

Lt. Diedrich Hohn released a statement explaining detectives came across the teen while conducting an investigation into the homicide. A warrant was obtained after the girl claimed she was pregnant with Silva's child.

A $10,000 bond has been levied against Silva in the case, adding to the more than $1 million he already has placed on him.

Silva has a 10th-grade education and was unemployed and living with his mother at the time he was charged in the case. Police said Silva committed the act against Decrescenzo in an attempt to gain membership to the MS-13 Gang.
