The man called police when a woman at the organization he'd harassed thousands of times for more than a decade threatened him, police said.

A Stamford man accused of harrassing a receptionist service for more than a decade was arrested Wednesday after calling the police himself, authorities announced Thursday.

Peter Bernard Russakow, 52, of the 100 blcok of Woodside Green, is . On March 17th, 2012, he got himself into trouble though, authorities said.

Russakow called the police on that date when the receptionist service operator for his doctor's office threated him with physical harm from her husband, police said.

Police investigating the incident interviewed the receptionist, who said that, on that date alone, Russakow had already called the office at least nine times, they said.

Authorities said the receptionist informed them Russakow would make crude and graphic sexual remarks towards whomever answered the phone. They also discovered he'd done this thousands of times over the last 10 years, police said.

Authorities filed for an arrest warrant stemming from the March incident and arrested Russakow on April 4. He was charged with harassment and released on a promise to appear in court on his given date.
