Alleged Shooter from Stamford's Woodland Place Arrested

Stamford police announced Tuesday morning the arrest of a man discovered in Norwalk on charges he was involved in a recent city shooting.

Howard Rose, 25, of Stillwater Avenue, was arrested after authorities found him hiding in a closet in Norwalk, said Lt. Diedrich Hohn, who identified Rose as the suspect in the 24 Woodland Place shooting that occurred a few weeks ago.

According to Hohn, Rose was known to frequent the area, as well as Henry, Ludlow and South Pacific streets in the same area.

Stamford investigators with the assistance of US Marshals conducted the raid that resulted in Rose's arrest on warrants for first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal attempt at assault, criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of violation of probation.

Rose is being held on bonds totaling $550,000
