Alleged Bomb-Making, Shooting Highlight Stamford Blotter

Stamford Police had a busy Monday, with one suspect arrested early in the morning on bomb-making charges following an investigation that kicked off in January and a shooting later in the day in downtown Stamford near the Stamford Town Center.

Stamford police took custody of Donald Saturno, 47, of Vine Rd., Monday morning after police conducting a motor vehicle stop in Ridgefield discovered he was wanted and arrested him.

Later, a teenage victim was shot in the leg by what police are describing as a teenage suspect near Vets Park. The victim chased the suspect for a short time before his injuries prohibited further pursuit.

Jorge Anahel Avila-Meza, 36, of Lipton Pl., charged Sunday night with first-degree failure to appear.

Jonathan Cory Barber, 32, of Euclid Ave., charged Sunday night with failure to respond to an infraction.

Esvin Cineros, 25, of Atlantic St., charged Sunday afternoon with improper use of marker, failure to insure a private motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating or towing an unregistered motor vehicle and defective windshield/wiper.

Elizabeth M. Frankel, 25, of Henry St., charged early Sunday with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Roshawn Powell, 18, of Mohawk Ct., charged Sunday night with second-degree breach of peach and second-degree threatening.

Henry P. Rivera, 41, of Fulmore Ln. in Norwalk, charge Sunday morning with improper rear/marker lamps, operating a motor vehicle without a license and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Ramiro Solis-Samayoa, 29, of Hamilton Ave., charged Monday morning with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Ricardo Valencia, 22, of Bouton St. in Norwalk, charged Sunday morning with illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to drive in proper lane.
