6 Year-Old Girl Struck By Car on East Side

A six-year-old girl was struck by a car on Dale Street on Friday after being dropped off by a transport van from a summer camp, according to a statement released by

Marishka Tulien, who lives on Dale Street, was traveling from west to east when a 1999 Buick Century driven by Moenae Robinson of Van Buskirk Avenue struck her as she was attempting to cross the street, Booth said. Tulien is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is scheduled to be transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation, according to Booth of the department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. He added that speed did not seem to be a factor in the accident.
