Six teens from Connecticut, ranging in age from 16 to 18, have been charged with mugging a Port Chester woman as she was walking home from work on Boston Post Road, according to Port Chester Police.

Lt. James Ladeairous said the victim, a 49-year-old village resident, left work about 6 p.m. and as she walked along Boston Post Road she saw a group of young men on the other side of the street. As the victim approached Slater Street, she told police she could hear people coming up from behind her.

As she got to Slater Street, Ladeairous said an attacker said "Mom, give me your pocketbook." Ladeairous said the victim was then grabbed by another attacker who said "What do you have in your pockets?" and ripped a pocket off her coat to take a cell phone.
