2 Neighbors Charged in Rock Garden Dispute

In an argument between two neighbors over a rock garden, one of them turned out to be all wet.

But that doesn't mean his position was wrong -- he was just wet.

Stamford police Sgt. Robert Shawinsky gave this account of the incident, which resulted in police charging each of the neighbors with breach of peace (people charged with crimes are not necessarily guilty):

Frederick Rossetti, 55, of 430 Halliwell Dr., got into an argument with his neighbor, Julie Decourtivron, 48, of 425 Halliwell Dr.

The argument concerned the ownership and maintenance of a rock garden.

During the argument, which took place Friday afternoon, Decourttivron sprayed Rossetti with a garden house she was holding.

Rossetti then walked toward Decourtivron in a threatening manner. Police were then called to the scene.

After speaking with each neighbor, police charged each of them, giving them written misdemeanor summonsed to appear May 17 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
