Jacqueline Brice, 16, Dies In Early-Morning Accident [Update]

Police confirmed Jacqueline Brice of Ridgefield died in an early-morning crash on Keeler Drive.

Update, 5:30 p.m.

Police have confirmed that Jacqueline Brice, 16, of Ridgefield was the driver of the vehicle who was killed early this morning on Keeler Drive.

Police report that Jacqueline was driving a 2008 Land Rover east on Keeler Drive in the Ridgebury area. As she rounded a slight curve, the car struck a tree to the left of the road.

The tree caused extensive damage to the vehicle, police released, and Jacqueline was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case remains under investigation at this time.

Police report that a 16-year-old girl died early this morning in a car accident on Keeler Drive in Ridgebury.

While police are not yet releasing the girl's identity, they say she was alone in the car when she crashed into a tree at 3:55 a.m.

Officers are still on the scene and will be throughout the day.
