Fight Hunger in Your Hometown

Darien-based Person-to-Person (P2P) will be hosting a Food Drive at the “Feed My Starving Children” packing event on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 at Middlesex Middle School (204 Hollow Tree Ridge Rd, Darien, CT 06820).

If you are a volunteer who will be preparing the MannaPack™ Rice pouches for distribution around the world, we hope you will bring a bag of non-perishable goods to help stock the P2P Food Pantry so we can meet the need of those who are hungry in Darien, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, and Wilton. Canned vegetables and fruits; cold and hot cereal; peanut butter and jelly; canned meats and tuna; canned and dried soups. All of these items will be used to provide families in our own area with enough food to prepare three meals a day for seven days.

Even if you are unable to volunteer, we hope you will drop by Middlesex Middle School on one of those days to drop off a bag of food. Your spirit of volunteerism and generosity will make a profound difference in the lives of children who are starving in countries around the world and the children who go hungry in Lower Fairfield County.
