STAMFORD, CT… Connecticut Ballet will hold open auditions for children’s roles in its upcoming production of The Nutcracker on Sunday, September 15th from 1:00-6:30pm at Connecticut Ballet Center, 20 Acosta Street, Stamford.

Rehearsals will commence in late October and performances are December 14/15 and 21/22 at The Palace, Stamford Center for the Arts. An annual tradition in downtown Stamford, the ballet features guest stars from American Ballet Theatre as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Her Cavalier, Connecticut Ballet’s professional corps de ballet, and over 125 children’s and adult character performers.  Since 1984, over 2500 local children have performed in Connecticut Ballet’s production.

Prior dance experience is helpful, but not necessary for younger children.
