Sister Evelyn Kane, 92; Served at St. Clement of Rome Parish

Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11.


Sister Evelyn Elizabeth Kane, RSCJ, died Dec. 2, 2013 in Albany, NY. She was 92.

Born in Brooklyn, on Sept. 3, 1921, to Jasper T. and Loretta S. Kane.

Sister Kane taught at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich, for 20 years and served in pastoral ministry at St. Clement of Rome Parish, Stamford.

Sister Kane is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her seven brothers including her twin, Herbert T. Kane, SJ and Jasper, Arthur, Edward, Charles, Robert and Harold Kane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the Teresian House Chapel, Washington Avenue Extension in Albany, NY. Visitation will be held immediately before Mass.
