Ryan H. Crane, 37; Finance Executive; All American Lacrosse Player

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Feb. 9 with the funeral scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10.


Ryan Henry Crane passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at his home in Stamford. He was 37. 

Ryan grew up in Long Valley, NJ and graduated from The Delbarton School in Morristown in 1995, earning recognition as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, 1995, New Jersey Defensive Player of the Year in Lacrosse as well as being named to the All-American Lacrosse Team.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1999, after which he spent the next 14 years at J.P. Morgan in New York. He was an executive director in the Global Equities Group.

He is survived by his wife Lauren (nee Pizzotti), and son Harry; parents Mary Jo and Lex of Long Valley, NJ; brother Lex of Denver, CO; sister Allison and brother-in-law John Archard of Arvada, CO; parents-in-law Steve and Carol Pizzotti of Reading, MA, brothers- and sisters-in-law David and Heather Pizzotti of Upper Arlington, OH, Stephen and Kristin Pizzotti and Chris and Felicia Pizzotti of Reading, MA, along with five nephews, three nieces and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m.  Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
