Louis M. Polidoro, 61; Founder of Stamford Painting Company


Louis Matthew Polidoro, passed away at his Stamford home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, after being diagnosed with cancer on Jan. 10, 2014. He was 61.

Mr. Polidoro was born in Bronx, NY on May 11, 1952, to Matthew Polidoro and Lorraine Klass Polidoro. He grew up in East Haven.

He managed restaurants in New York City when he was in his late 20s. After moving to Stamford, he worked as a banquet director for the Italian Center of Stamford for many years. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Polidoro launched Stamford Painting Contractors in 1984, which is now operated under Shoreline Painting and Drywall. His true passion was food and serving the patrons at one of his many restaurants over the years.

Mr. Polidoro is survived by his wife Jacquie Jesselli Polidoro; his two sons, Matthew Charles Polidoro and Christopher Lee Polidoro; his daughter, Jessica Lorraine Polidoro, all of Stamford,  and his sister; Donna Polidoro Savino, of Branford.

The Polidoro family will receive family and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at St. Leo Catholic Church, 24 Roxbury Rd., Stamford. The committal service and entombment will take place immediately after mass at St. George’s Mausoleum at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Pl., Stamford.
