On Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, Domenica Teresa Pezzimenti D'Aprile, our sweet, beautiful, generous, fun-loving Tessie, passed away at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility.
Born June 5, 1911, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., she spent 69 years in Stamford, Conn. Following her husband Fausto's death, she came to Northampton and lived for the next 33 years with her daughter Giovina, her son-in-law John Sessions, and her adored and adoring granddaughter Teresa.
Tessie celebrated her 100th birthday at a joyous party in 2011, with most of her family and the many friends of her Northampton years.
Her immediate survivors include her daughter, her son-in-law, her granddaughter Teresa and Teresa's husband Robert Peacock and their three sons, Max, Julian and Sam, who loved their "Bis" very much. Tessie also leaves her niece and godchild Antoinette Caudle; her nephew Richard Pezzimenti; their siblings; a grandnephew; and three grandnieces.
We are immensely grateful to Linda Conklin for her all of her kindnesses toward Tessie. We thank the wonderful and caring people at Linda Manor who kept her well and content.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Stamford, Conn., at the convenience of her family.
