Can You Help our "Princess?"

OPIN - Outreach to Pets in Need - seeks foster or permanent home for Princess, recovering from cancer surgery.

Princess, a gorgeous American Eskimo dog recently had cancer surgery and needs someone to foster her while she recuperates so she doesn't have to spend her healing days in the shelter.   She will be fostered through OPIN (Outreach to Pets In Need), the supporting nonprofit of the Stamford Animal Shelter.

"Princess," also known to OPIN volunteers as "Snow White," is a very sweet girl who was found wandering the streets with a tremendously large tumors on her belly.

Princess barely could get around and was in obvious discomfort. With the help of OPIN and donations, she was able to get medical treatment and her largest tumor was removed.

After surgery, Princess appeared to be so much happier, being able to walk and get around with much more ease... but she's not out of the woods yet.  A biopsy was done and she was found to have mammary cancer so the smaller tumors will also need to be removed.

She now is waiting to have a second operation to see if she can be saved. Even with loving volunteers, donations, medical treatment, she still needs your prayers and a permanent home is what everyone wishes for Princess.

Princess is estimated to be about 10-12 years old and definitely is not ready to give up this battle.
