60 More Pets Were Made Safer - 414 to date

This past Saturday, June 8th, 60 more cats and dogs were made safer by receiving a FREE microchip, compliments of Outreach to Pets In Need (OPIN). We offered free chips to everyone who came to the Rabies and Dog Licensing Clinic held at Rippowam Middle School on High Ridge Road. In addition, 108 pets took advantage of the low-cost rabies vaccines. Since launching Project Chip'n in April 2012, over six clinics, we've given away 414 free microchips. OPIN thanks its fabulous and dedicated volunteers who donate their valuable time to make what we do for animals possible as well as the participating veterinarians who administer the chips. OPIN is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that, since 2007, has been dedicated to supporting the Stamford Animal Care & Control, city shelter, by providing medical care, surgeries, therapy, medicine, supplies, microchips, dog training, web services, advertising, public awareness and the foster care program. OPIN is currently fundraising for a NEW City Shelter that is being planned for.
