Stamford Museum & Nature Center offers Newtown families FREE admission

In an effort to help Newtown residents, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center will be providing Newtown families with free admission through December 31, 2012.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center is devastated by the unimaginable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary last Friday.  In an effort to help Newtown residents, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center will be providing Newtown families with free admission through December 31, 2012.

The Museum and Nature Center is inviting Newtown residents to visit and take a stroll on the farm, hike through the woods, play on Nature’s Playground, or enjoy the current All AboardLEGO® trainscape and gingerbread exhibitions.  They hope being surrounded by the beauty of the natural world and enjoying fun family exhibitions will provide some peace and comfort to their neighbors in Newtown.  Newtown residents should present their driver’s license for free admission.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center is located at 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT (3/4 mile North of Merritt Parkway Exit 35.)  It is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm.  It is closed on Christmas Day. For more information call 203.322.1646 or visit www.stamfordmuseum.org. For regional information www.visitfairfieldcountyct.com.
