We saved Baby and her 7 puppies!

Thanks to the support of friends like you, STARelief recently stepped in to save the lives of a pregnant dog named Baby and her 7 puppies!

After successfully delivering three puppies, Baby was having difficulty delivering the rest of her litter. Her owner realized there was something wrong, but could not find a vet clinic that was open on Sundays. The only options were emergency veterinary hospitals that Baby's owner could not afford. 

Baby needed help fast because she was going in and out of consciousness. So Baby's owner sought out the advice of the officer on duty at the Stamford Animal Shelter. And Stamford Animal Shelter called us, because they knew we could help.

We were able to help Baby immediately and provide her with the life-saving surgery she needed thanks to the generous donations of people like you. 
At the hospital it was discovered Baby had a pup stuck in her uterus and needed an emergency C-section to save her life and the lives of her tiny puppies.

Untreated, Baby's uterus may have burst but, with our assistance, Baby received a life-saving emergency C-section -- and she was also spayed.

As far as Baby goes, she is at home resting and providing great care for her babies.
