Stamford Animal Rescue has opened the areas first Pet Food Pantry to assist Connecticut residents and beyond feed their pets.
We will offer free pet food to pet caretakers struggling in these hard economic times so they do not have to abandon their pets.
Our goal is to keep pets out of the shelters and in their homes where they belong.
You can build all the shiny new animal shelters you want for abandoned pets, but we really need to address the issues of why they are being abandoned, and try to solve them. That is what Stamford Animal Rescue is doing.
and I get ZERO support. My life stinks. Lucy I have my 2 dogs and 3 cavies. some of you New Canaan people amaze me. Wish I can win lotto and move away
Glen - Use Google for once in your life. There is free dog training in Stamford via the shelter referenced in this article. Stop complaining. You are not the only person in New Canaan without a giant pile of money or too many things to take care of. The rest of us just don't complain about it 24/7. Start writing snail mail letters and making phone calls to the people you believe are supposed to be helping you because they clearly are not hanging out reading comments on Patch. Also, you might want to stop being such a perv and commenting on the "hotness" of the ladies photos on Patch. It's creepy and I would imagine your wife would not be too happy about it.
