Stamford Hospital to Host 'Fight the Flu' Clinic

As part of the city's "Fight the Flu" campaign, Stamford Hospital will host an additional clinic on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Tully Health Center's Brace Auditorium between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to distribute flu vaccinations.

Those interested can receive a single dose of the preservative-free vaccine or flu mist to protect against three strains of seasonal flu, including the H1N1 virus, for $30. Seniors over 65 can opt for a high-potency shot for $40.

Primary Medicare Part B is the only insurance accepted for the high-dos vaccination, and Managed Medicare is not accepted, the hospital said. For more information, the Stamford Hospital's flu hotline can be reached at 203.276.4948.
