Miss Connecticut Crowns Miss Stamford 2014

On Saturday night, Miss Connecticut Kaitlyn Tarpey and her mom Ann Dzenutis crowned Miss Stamford 2014 as part of the Miss Stamford Scholarship Corporation's inaugural event.

Five young women competed for the title in a number of events, including answering on-stage questions, wearing swimsuits to display their lifestyle and fitness achievements, showing off a talent and donning evening gowns.

The winner, Cara Ann Cama, 22, ran on the platform of Peer Mentoring.

The other four contestants were:
  •  Jessica Palmiotto, 18, Health & Nutrition
  •  Natasha Simone, 20, Food Allergy Awareness
  •  Ashley Sodipo, 20, Rising to the Challenges of Academic Success
  •  Mikayla Vitali, 19, Cyber Bullying
