Join Stamford's Miss CT for Holiday De-Stressing Yoga

The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone. Why not take a little time for yourself to clear your mind and just relax for a bit?

Stamford's own Miss Connecticut Kaitlyn Tarpey will be hosting an "invigorating yoga class" with sponsor Brittany D. Costa on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Freestyle Fitness, 1465 Post Road in Westport.

"I'm hosting a yoga fundraiser to benefit the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Fund," Tarpey said. "Health is a major part of the organization's values. And what better way to recharge a bit before the holidays than yoga?"

Class sizes are limited to 30 people, but there are a couple seats left open. Participation requires a $20 donation which goes to the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Fund.

And yes, that's Tarpey in the photo up there, so she must know what she's talking about when it comes to fitness. Email Kate at kottavio@gmail.com to reserve a time slot.
