On September 8th the Umbrella Club surpassed its fundraising goals again hosting a Second Annual Beach Party at the Woodway Beach Club; The “Endless Summer on the Sound”.   This gathering is organized to benefit The Stamford Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department’s ‘Umbrella Club Reception Area’.

This new Pediatric Emergency Department will provide the highest standard of pediatric health care for the region and its children.

This very special event featured live steel drum music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and both live and silent auctions.  The highlight of this event each year is the raffle for an all-expense paid trip to the Super Bowl with all of the trimmings; sponsored by the NFL Players’ Alumni CT Chapter.  This was a unique opportunity for attendees and sponsors large and small to be a part of a fun evening, while providing support for a truly wonderful cause.

The Umbrella Club will be donating 100% of the net proceeds to the Stamford Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department as part of a $300,000 capital gift established in 2012. The Umbrella Club is a special volunteer organization dedicated to assisting children who are in need of a quiet helping hand. Over the last 35 years, the Umbrella Club has donated more than $2,500,000 to families and children.
