Happy News!

Happy news everyone! My favorite lunch spot now also serves dinner!!!

Aux Delices in Westport is now also open for dinner from Tuesdays through Saturdays.  Last night was their opening night and my family and I had the pleasure of getting the first taste of their dinner menu.

If you have been to Aux Delices at any of their locations in Connecticut, you would know that there food is perfection!  I am madly in love with their Ham and Gruyere Quiche as well as their Chocolate Mousse.  (Did you see the awesome shot of the mousse I posted on my Facebook page and Twitter a few weeks ago?).  So when Greg (Deborah Ponzek’s husband), the owner, emailed me yesterday to ask me if I could  join in their opening night celebration, I said “Heck Yes!!!”

Aux Delices Bistro has taken the same finesse that they demonstrate in their breakfast and lunch menu – turned it up a few notches and created a delightful dinner menu.  The menu is small, but that won’t matter because every dish is a beautiful showcase of all the ingredients that went into it.  These complex compositions on the dinner plates come together as a party in your mouth with each bite.  The small but carefully hand-selected wine menu is sure to meet your needs as well.

Greg insisted that we try his favorite appetizers and so we did.  The Poached Organic Egg with Edamame, Merguez Sausage, Celery Root Puree and Thyme is a total wow!  You would not get over the smooth texture of the egg and the wonderful flavor punch of the sausage until the last bite. This is a must try.
