Winter Home School Day: Syrup & Snow

Ages 5 – 12.
Our winter Home School day will celebrate two of our
favorite things about winter - snow and maple syrup. Discover how maple syrup
was made in the past and how we use our modern evaporator today to make this sweet
treat. Help to collect sap and learn how we tap our maple trees. Learn about
the science of snow in our Weather Wise class and make your own snow too!
Discover how our local animals prepare for winter and discover what winter owls
are eating to prepare for spring as we dissect owl pellets. Limited to 20
students per group. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Please
contact Lisa at 203.977.6515 or lmonachelli@stamfordmuseum.org to register. Members
| Non-Members: $15 per child. No charge for teachers or chaperones; younger
siblings attend at no charge.
