A portion of the proceeds from this event will be dedicated to supporting the Carriage Barn Arts Center and the Rotary Club’s End Polio Campaign. Since 1985, Rotary International, along with our partners, The World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation and national governments throughout the world, has immunized 2.5 billion children and reduced polio cases by more than 99 percent: from 350,000 per year to a handful. During this fundraiser, the Carriage Barn Arts Center will be exhibiting Photo/synthesis, a collection of photographs by 15 local artists.

The Rotary Club of New Canaan is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace. The Rotary Club of New Canaan embraces the Rotary motto "Service Above Self" through its numerous service projects during the year.

The mission of the New Canaan Society for the Arts, Inc. is to promote the visual and performing arts, and to enrich the community through exhibitions, education, and cultural experiences, and to operate the Carriage Barn Arts Center. The Carriage Barn Arts Center offers artists opportunities to exhibit their work in an exceptional gallery space in a unique nineteenth-century stone barn.  Exhibitions, lectures, educational workshops, concerts and other events are held in this adaptively reused historical building on the grounds of a former estate, now Waveny Park. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday 10 am – 3 pm, Sunday 1 – 5 pm.  For further information please call the Carriage Barn Arts Center at 203.972.1895 or visit www.carriagebarn.org
