White Plains Hospital Stay Healthy for the Holidays Contest

White Plains, NY (Dec 9, 2013) – Holidays are a time when
friends and families get together to celebrate.
With all of the celebration there are usually a lot of indulgent meals!
To help families eat healthy and stay active this holiday season White Plains Hospital
announces the Healthy Holidays Art Contest.

White Plains Hospital partnered with By Kids For Kids Co
(BKFK) to create the program to help families continue to find ways to
celebrate, but in a healthy way.  Kids
7-14 can draw, paint, or color a picture depicting ways they eat and stay
healthy during this holiday season. The five winners will each receive a $50
gift certificate and their pictures will be displayed at White Plains Hospital.
Kids can submit their entries and families can find out more about the program
at www.wphHealthyHolidays.com.
Entries must be post marked by January 15, 2014.

Families and teachers can also visit the website to access
free activities they can do during this holiday season to stay active and eat
nutritiously.  The website has fun
at-home and classroom activities for kids in grades 3-5 and 6-8. There is also
a “Healthy Holidays Tip Sheet” that can be posted in the kitchen to remind
families to eat healthy during the holidays. Materials are also available in
Spanish.
