Julliette’s paintings give new meaning to light and color.  Her
creations are free and expressive in style as they blend with realism. Although
nature scenes are favored subjects, her dancers and figures evoke an age long
gone by. Julliette paints plein air and
from her studios in Stamford and on the French Riviera.

Julliette Tehrani returned to the fine arts, her lifetime passion,
following a highly successful career as a senior executive in finance.
London-born of Persian heritage, Julliette’s artistic themes come from extensive
travel and exploration of the great masters, especially the
Impressionists.

While
a busy executive, her breakthrough came when she first painted in Monet’s
gardens at Giverny.  With this experience she knew she had to commit more time
to painting.  She went on to visit other
sites where the Impressionists painted.  Reaching the Mediterranean and
entranced by its physical radiance, mood and atmosphere, she found her muse and
a new home.

As
many other artists, Julliette began painting as a child, gradually burnishing
her talent through study and practice.  While primarily self-taught, she learned
from workshops and individual lessons with renowned artists in Italy and
France.  In the United States she has studied art at SUNY Purchase, the New York
Art Students League and the Silvermine Arts Center.  She holds an MBA and a MS in
Psychology.

Her work has been exhibited in individual and group shows in
Connecticut and in Europe.  She holds memberships in distinguished art
associations and her paintings are in the collection of private
collectors. She is currently represented by galleries
in NYC and Cannes, France.
