ST. MARY'S THEATRE SETS AUDITIONS FOR NEW ONE-ACT MUSICAL

St. Mary's Theatre announces auditions for a new one-act musical, "Victoria and Sir Rabbit," a musical for the entire family, on Monday, March 10, from 7-9 p.m. in St. Mary's Hayes Hall on Elm Street in Stamford. Seeking actors, singers, dancers of all ages. Show dates are May 9,10,11, and is a benefit for the parish church. Leading roles include: Victoria, a feisty and independent-minded women who considers Sir Rabbit her best friend and mentor; Sir Rabbit, a kind-hearted benefactor to all those in need; Mr. Kilometer, an extremely health-conscious individual who is training to win the big race; and Mr. Find, with his map always on hand, is the one to ask for directions. Other characters include: Mr. Tree, Brown Bag, several angnels (could be children) who sing and dance, and Ms. Busy Body, the town gossip. The producers also are looking for people who would like to be a part of the backstage production team that includes Toni DeCarlo (Stamford), choreographer; John Masi (Norwalk), music director; and Carole Claps (Darien), director. DeCarlo is a native of Stamford and a long-time dance instructor of ballet, pointe, and jazz, who also worked with the Stamford High School gymnastics team formulating their open floor routines.
