SPA FOR THE SPIRIT Retreat Morning

Spa for the Spirit – November 2nd  -  All
Saints Retreat

“Julian of Norwich – and the Saints in our Lives”

We are excited to welcome Dr.
Fred Roden, Associate Professor of English at UConn-Stamford, as our
retreat leader this November. Dr. Roden will lead meditations on Julian of
Norwich, the 14th century English mystic and anchoress whose
spiritual insights are surprisingly contemporary. With  Julian as a
starting point, we will also explore the saints who enrich our lives, living
and departed.

Julian of Norwich entitled Love's Trinity. At UConn-Stamford he teaches for the
Women's Studies Program and also offers courses in Holocaust Literature.
He received the UConn AAUP award for Teaching Excellence, and his research in
lesbian/gay studies has been recognized for distinction at UConn and elsewhere.

Our retreat morning will begin, as always, with a scrumptious
breakfast at 8:30 at Christ the Healer.
