SPA FOR THE SPIRIT: Retreat Morning at Christ the Healer

Spa for the Spirit – February 1st  “Balancing our Inner Mary and Martha”

As people of faith, we are called to a balance of work and worship, action and contemplation, head and heart. In our fast-moving 21st century world, this kind of balance can be hard to find– but not impossible. Our February Spa will explore how we can integrate our faith into our hectic lives, and undertake some of our responsibilities as acts of spirituality and worship.

The Rev. Canon Dr. Audrey Scanlan will lead this retreat time. An Episcopal priest and  Canon for Mission Collaboration and Congregational Development in the Episcopal Diocese of CT, Audrey is also a serious “foodie” and author of a blog called “Prayer Kitchen.” She is also co-founder of Rhythms of Grace, a worship ministry for people with cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Despite a hectic schedule, she finds time to run and play the cello - or perhaps those are practices that allow her to maintain balance in a hectic schedule.

Our retreat morning will begin, as always, with a scrumptious breakfast at 8:30 at Christ the Healer. Please reserve here. Call 203-322-6991 if you have questions.
