Advent Retreat: Anticipation

Waiting is always hard, whether for test results or for new life
to arrive.  Sometimes having to wait for
what we want is excruciating; sometimes it brings unexpected blessings. The
Rev. Lee Ann Tolzmann will lead this
Advent retreat exploring the gift of waiting, as we look at how to draw closer
to God in anticipating God’s gifts – the gift of Christ’s coming, and the gifts
that flow from that Greatest Gift.

Lee Ann Tolzmann is rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in
Riverside. A lifelong Episcopalian, she graduated high school in Glastonbury,
Connecticut, and from Dartmouth College in 1977 with honors in history.
Following a career in business, culminating as Sales Director for Discovery
Toys, Lee Ann felt a call to enter the ordained ministry. She graduated from
the General Theological Seminary in New York in 2001 and came to Riverside in
2008 after serving churches in Maryland. Her husband David is a nationally
respected designer of labyrinths.

Our retreat morning will begin, as always, with a scrumptious
breakfast at 8:30 at Christ the Healer
