SPA FOR THE SPIRIT - Monthly Retreat Morning

Some
of the most beautiful poetry of praise to God is grounded in wonder at the intricacy,
grandeur and unpredictability of nature. We will explore nature through poetry
on this spring retreat, looking at poets like Gerard Manley Hopkins, R.S.
Thomas, Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry and others. We will even take a crack at
writing our own nature poetry.

The
Rev. Dr. Kate Heichler will lead this quiet morning. An Episcopal priest,
spiritual director, and spiritual writer – and author of the occasional prayer
poem, Kate is also pastor at Church of Christ the Healer and a musician. 

Our
retreat morning will begin, as always, with a scrumptious breakfast at 8:30 at
