"Sounds of Summer" Art Exhibit Opening Reception at The Ferguson Library

The Ferguson Library, in partnership with the Stamford Art Association, presents a juried multimedia wall art show entitled “Sounds
of Summer” at the Library’s Auditorium Gallery beginning Tuesday, July
29. There will be a wine and cheese reception to launch the show from 6 –
8 p.m. Ribbons for the winning pieces will be awarded at the opening.

This exhibit is part of the ongoing ‘Art at the Ferguson’ series,
curated in cooperation with the Stamford Art Association. The show will run through October, and is free and accessible during normal library

The Stamford Art Association, established in 1971, is a nonprofit
organization whose members include painters, sculptors, printmakers, and
photographers. Its mission is to provide a forum where artists can
exhibit their work and compete in juried shows. Its Townhouse Gallery,
located at 39 Franklin Street, in Stamford, hosts eight exhibits
annually, and attracts prominent jurors from art institutions and
galleries in New York and surrounding areas.

The Ferguson Library is Stamford’s public library system, consisting
of the Main Library, the Harry Bennett Branch, the Weed Memorial &
Hollander Branch, the South End Branch and a traveling Bookmobile. Its
