SOFTWARE and IP: A Deep Dive [FREE CLASS]

In this free class we will focus on the role of intellectual property as it pertains to software -- particularly to the evolving issue of patentability with respect to software-based inventions.

You will learn:

  •       What is a software patent?  What types of patents are available?
  •       How intellectual property operates around software development.
  •       History of how courts handled software patents and how that is changing.
  •       An in-depth look into CLS Bank v. Alice Corp, a pending case before the Supreme Court that maybe game changing for software patents going forward.
  •       Why it’s smart to obtain a patent and how to nail the software patent process.
