Moving Beyond Reaction to Reason: Mental Health and School Safety Post-Sandy Hook
Health freedom advocate and Connecticut parent Sheila Matthews will speak this month at the Harry Bennett branch of The Ferguson Library on school safety and youth mental health reforms in response to the Newtown shootings, and how these changes could affect the rights of parents and students.
Co-founder of the nationally-recognized non-profit Ablechild.org: Parents for Label & Drug Free Education (www.ablechild.org), Sheila Matthews regularly testifies on the state and Federal levels in defense of psychiatric health freedom and has been featured in Time (9/10/01) and interviewed on CNN, Fox, as well as numerous radio stations throughout the country.
