The Interfaith Council of SW CT and the Ferguson Library present a talk by Stamford High School graduate (1970) and
educator, Roy J Nirschel, Ph.D. Nirschel returns to his hometown to profile his book My Seasons in Saigon. He has had a
stellar career in higher education, including nine years as president of Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. He is Founding President of The American University of Vietnam. His
experience in that country, post-war and prosperous, multi-cultural and
engaging, has given him many compelling stories to tell. A reception at 5:30 precedes the lecture.
In addition to journal
articles, Nirschel most recently published a book, My Seasons in Saigon. Keenly interested in interfaith exploration, he is a founding director of the Foundation for Universal Spirituality.
well as a monthly InterFaith Book Club. Through a diverse array of special
events and programs, the InterFaith Council is making “the place for interfaith
action and the space for interfaith conversation” in our communities.
