Joanna M. Leone, author of "Slices of Life Italian-American Stories" will be a Guest Speaker at the Stamford Senior Center on Friday, 11/1 from 11:30am - 1:00pm during their Italian Celebration event. Joanna's speech will focus on holiday and travel stories. Also, she will mention some of the wonderful people from Stamford who are featured in her book. She is very excited about seeing everyone at the Senior Center that day. Most importantly, she looks forward to hearing the audience share their stories. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served and complimentary book marks will be given out. Joanna's speech will be enjoyed by all age groups.

"Slices of Life Italian-American Stories" contains collective memoirs about Italian-Americans from CT, NY, PA and throughout the northeast. The book shows which traditions, celebrations, struggles, travel and love stories are in the hearts of many Italian-Americans. There are also historical accounts of World War II memories.
