GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION VIGIL THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday is the second annual national Gun Violence Prevention Sabbath, being marked in hundreds of congregations and faith communities around the country. Your presence is a way to show you stand in solidarity with those who have been victims of gun violence, and those who are committed to changing the laws and the culture that foster it.

This community gathering is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Southwestern CT and hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Society. Speakers at this community gathering will include Congressman Jim Himes, Caroline Simmons, a Stamford resident who will address the issue from the perspective of her five years at the Dept of Homeland Security, and others.

You are invited to bring a pair of shoes to place on the front steps of the sanctuary to represent those no longer with us as a result of gun violence.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
