HARVEST TABLE FUNDRAISER WILL FEED THE HUNGRY

Stamford - New Covenant House of Hospitality will hold its second annual food-related fundraiser, Harvest Table, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Italian Center, 1620 Newfield Ave. in Stamford.

This event, originally scheduled for Nov. 3, was postponed due to storm-related power outages.

The celebration will feature cooking demonstrations by local chefs and restaurateurs, a silent auction and a luncheon. The keynote speaker will be celebrated chef Debra Ponzek, owner of Greenwich-based Aux Delices and cookbook author, who will offer words of inspiration during the meal.

Proceeds will benefit the New Covenant House of Hospitality, Stamford’s only soup kitchen. New
Covenant House provides three meals per day, 365 days per year, through its soup kitchen, food pantry and breakfast-to-go programs.

The public is invited to join in the celebration of food and community service and help New Covenant House of Hospitality continue its mission of reducing hunger in the communities of lower Fairfield County. Admission is $50 per person.

“The Harvest Table Luncheon is a great way for the community to celebrate the holiday season and
share their abundance with those in need,” says New Covenant House Director Brian Jenkins. “Proceeds from the luncheon will directly help bring nutritious meals to all in lower Fairfield County who are hungry.” In the last year, NCH has provided more than 600,000 meals to those in need.
