If you’re among the thousands of Fairfield County folks experiencing powerless nights, imagination can be the ideal getaway from hurricane troubles.  And with so much time on your hands, you may want to consider this: two-thirds (66%) of Americans plan to take a leisure trip within the next 12 months, a recent AAA Travel survey has learned. Are you going to be one of them? If so, you’ll want to attend a Royal Caribbean Cruise Night, hosted by AAA Southern New England, on Nov. 8 at the AAA Stamford Office, 1101 High Ridge Road, Stamford. The two-hour program begins at 6 p.m.

Mina DiSora of Royal Caribbean Cruises will discuss winter getaways to the Caribbean and summer excursions to Alaska. In addition, Dan and Deborah Tual of Photographic Memories will share their professional photo tips for taking those perfect vacation moments.

“It is encouraging to see that so many Americans nationally plan to take leisure trips next year and explore new destinations,” said Fran Mayko, AAA Southern New England spokesman. “Travel provides chances to unwind and step away from hectic lifestyles.”

The program is free but registration is required by calling 203-937-2595, ext. 4684. For more information, contact Stamford Branch Manager Michael Ferrari at 203-388-2189, Ext. 4730.

AAA Southern New England has 46 offices in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Massachusetts and provides more than 3.5 million members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services.
