COMMUNITY SUPPER AT CHRIST THE HEALER

The Church of Christ the Healer hosts
a monthly Community Supper, to which
all are welcome. The next one is on Saturday,
August 17 at 6 pm
– it will be held outside on the church’s tree-filled
grounds (inside if it rains) at 20 Brookdale Road (corner of High Ridge Road,
1.5 miles north of Merritt Parkway Exit 35). Reservations are requested by
calling 203-322-6991 or emailing office@christthehealerstamford.org,
so the cooks can plan quantities

In addition to fine food and festivity in
lovely surroundings, the evening will feature live music offered by young
Stamford singer/song-writer, Annie Nirschel.
Annie has written award-winning
songs, and this summer has been invited to perform at a festival in Colorado –
as well as closer by, at the Bartlett Arboretum.

“These dinners are a great way for
people to come together and meet their neighbors,” says the Rev. Kate Heichler,
the church’s pastor. “There’s no program or requirements – we just want to
deepen our sense of community with people who live and work in the Stamford
area.” The menu will feature a main dish, salad, bread and an ice cream sundae
buffet.
